Extra large French Confit Pot/Planter

A delightfully simple and honest design, each pot was handmade on the potter's wheel in France in the early 1900s. No two pots are ever identical and they bear the maker's marks in terms of imperfections, fingerprints and irregularities to the glazed surface. Used originally to store preserved food these wonderfully sturdy utilitarian objects are very collectable as each is unique and each region of France had a slightly different style depending on the local clay used.
